Grants and Contract Analyst HV-MC-30Founded in 1953, Hudson
Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a
multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York.
HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three
schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Hudson Valley is one of 30
community colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY)

completion of a background check.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's
Degree from an accredited college or university required, along
with 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an
accredited college or university. Demonstration of prior experience
in working with grants and contracts, preferred. General knowledge
of accounting and budgeting theory and practices. Ability to make
independent judgments and to act on decisions on a daily basis.
Ability to work with flexibility on several tasks simultaneously
and to meet various concurrent deadlines. Strong mathematical and
Excel skills with attention to detail. Must display excellence in
customer service and of being a true team player and work with
minimal direct supervision.Duties and/or Responsibilities: The
Grants and Contracts Analyst reports to the Director of Grants
and/or their designee and will perform the following duties:Support
departmental faculty, Department Chairs, and other HVCC staff, as
needed, in the planning and development of application submissions
to federal, state and local government grants;Understand and
utilize institutional policies for the pre-award grant process and
sponsor guidelines;Review sponsored project proposals for assigned
faculty prior to forwarding them to the Director of Grants and Vice
President of Administration & CFO for signature;Review involves
accuracy, content, and adherence to all relevant guidelines;Provide
instruction, preparation assistance, and support related to grant
application procedures;Serve as liaison between Principal
Investigators, internal HVCC staff and funding agencies, as
necessary;Maintains both internal and external relationships
supporting grant administration functions;Review budgets and
related justification for appropriateness and completeness of
content;Provide groundwork for subcontract negotiations and
setup;Ensure compliance in all other areas related to grant and
contract management, including sponsoring organization guidelines,
internal protocols, accurate protocol information within grant
documents, conflicts of interest, etc.;Manage all assigned grant
submissions to ensure timeliness and accuracy;Maintain ongoing
updates and communications related to current grants and contracts,
this includes regular auditing, reporting, and projections to
principal investigators and departmental leadership;Coordinate the
process of setting up awards in designated department/division
after grant number is assigned, including reviewing award,
verifying award set-up and ensuring personnel is setup
appropriately;Ensure that post-award responsibilities are
completed, and support the grant Principal Investigator in all
post-award processes;Conduct complex award management activities
and provide oversight to other employees, including monitoring
restricted accounts, expenditure rates and expenses, audit
documentation, and reporting;Provide information and direct
assistance required to complete contract and grant
closeouts.Perform indirect cost and communication service center
charge allocations for month-end close process;Generate sponsored
project invoices for reimbursement by sponsors and perform federal
cash drawdown;Work closely with program staff on federal grant
sponsored post-conference reporting and GL reconciliation;Monitor
grant expenditures and ensure proper documentation for sponsor
approval or notification is obtained;Draft quarterly and final
federal financial reports in accordance with grant
requirements;Coordinate grant closeout process with departments and
finance staff to ensure timely spending and report
submission;Collaborate on new financial and/or operational tool
evaluation and implementation;Keeps abreast of all regulatory
compliance and other related requirements;Review vendor agreements
for compliance, consistency, and funding availability ready for
executionPerforms related duties as assigned.Salary is commensurate
with experience. The salary range is $50,000-$55,000.Hudson Valley
