WIC Vendor Coordinator

Location: Troy, NY

Salary:$20.00/hour

CEO is recruiting a Vendor Coordinator for our WIC Vendor Management Program located in Troy, NY.

Program Overview:CEO's WIC Vendor Management Agency (VMA) contracts with and oversees approved vendors that provide WIC food and formula items to their communities. The CEO WIC Vendor Management Agency serves 39 counties across eastern and central New York State via locations in Troy and Oneida, NY.

VMA's focus is to partner with the vendor community to ensure WIC participants have access to a minimum stock of WIC-approved products and that they are provided with quality services from well-trained staff.

Responsibilities

--Support the office and staff in the absence of Program Manager

--Assist in the development and implementation of liaison field training tools and guidance to ensure staff development needs are being met

--Provide overall support to vendors applying for and approved for participation in the New York State Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program

--Review and process vendor applications to ensure the accurate determination of vendor approval or denial within the prescribed time frames

--Conduct vendor monitoring activities and vendor trainings in accordance with federal and state requirements.Complete and submit reports within established time frames and travel throughout contracted region(s) as required

Qualifications:

--High School Diploma or equivalent

--Experience in a leadership role

--5 plus years of experience in a professional setting

--Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills

--Must demonstrate the ability to think critically and adapt to a dynamic changing environment

--Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

--A clean and valid NYS driver's license; consistent local travel with occasional long distance and overnights required

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to above:

--Associate's degree in Business or related field

--Experience working with Apple products

--Multilingual a plus
