in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in

unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States
and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree with experience in the
area of college admissions/post-secondary education or student
services. Master's Degree is preferred. Candidate must have a valid
driver's license and the ability to travel extensively within a
75-mile radius of HVCC and be able to lift and manage boxes of
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: Working directly with the high
school counselors in the College's service area and the continuous
counties, the Admission Counselor will assist with the coordination
of group visits. Develop and organize both on and off campus
recruitment events and develop strategies and programs to increase
applicants to under enrolled programs. Experience and/or awareness
of issues involving recruitment of identified special populations
Nature and Scope of Duties
The Admissions Counselor will exercise judgement while working
independently designing and implementing Recruitment Programs. The
Admissions Counselor will report to the Director of Admissions and
handle the following duties:
1. Develop and manage programs designed to increase enrollment in
under enrolled programs.
2. Develop a working knowledge of all academic programs at HVCC and
the required pre-requisites for the entry into each program.
3. Assist the Admissions Office with on and off campus admission
4. Conducts Admissions informational meetings/presentations for
parents and student groups both on and off campus. Please note:

This is a Full-Time 37.5 hour a week position with a salary range
