We are proud to have been voted by our employees as one of the Albany Times Union's Top Workplaces for 2017 and 2018.Join Our TeamWe have an immediate need for a Resident Services Coordinator to join the team at one of our newest, premiere Student housing communities located in Troy, NY: College Suites at Hudson Valley -Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Property Manager by coordinating resident activities and services. This position acts as a resident liaison to management staff and senior service providers. The Resident Services Coordinator will provide a positive, healthy, and supportive environment for residents, assisting with special projects and administrative task as defined by the Property and Regional Manager. Reports directly to the Property Manager. Maintains relationships with all residents, ensuring consistent application of property policies and resident satisfaction. Maintains relationship with other departments within the Company. Maintains relationships with the community, suppliers, vendors, and professionals servicing the Company or property.ResponsibilitiesYou will contribute in many ways to our Company! Below you will find the main responsibilities of this position, however, you will have opportunities to show your teamwork skills by going above and beyond what is required for this role:Marketing + Leasing:Tours visitors of the communityShows apartments to interested guestsEncourages interested guests to apply for residencyLeases apartments to qualified applicantsAssists applicant with application processCloses sale of apartmentsAssists in preparation of advertising and marketing materialsAssists in preparation of regular market surveysEnsure Community Assistant position responsibilities are fully maximizedProvides ongoing training for Community Assistant staffAssists the Office with its daily, weekly and monthly leasing and retention goalsResident Relations:Serve as liaison and residence life contact for the college and communityEnsure proper security protocols are in place and followedBe familiar with community Rules and RegulationsRespond to and resolve walk-in and phone requests of residents, parents, and communityRespond to student/resident inquiries and needsResolve student/resident roommate differencesPromote CSHV resourcesAssist with the planning and implementation of programming eventsAssist the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager with marketing eventsGeneral office work including filing, answering phones and customer serviceOther responsibilities as assignedJudicial Affairs+Community Conduct:Receive and process referrals, i.e. security reports, resident reports, etc., of alleged violations of the Rules and RegulationsResponsible for determining the level of alleged violation, investigation of case as needed, to include, speaking to parties involved in the alleged violations and determining the level of process required to resolve the complaintProgramming:CommunitySubstance use and abuseEducationalSpiritualHealth and WellnessSocialDiversityCareerQualificationsAssociates degree preferred (Marketing)Prior Resident Assistant experience - background in supervision, crisis intervention, and student development desiredStrong organizational, management, and teamwork skillsRequired knowledge and skills in Marketing, Customer Service, and Social Media.Solid administrative skills - knowledge of Microsoft Office products, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, PublisherProfessional image compatible with United Group - positive attitude, energetic, assertive, and ability to serve as a role model for subordinatesWillingness to perform all assigned tasks with good work and safety habitsDemonstrates integrity on a personal and professional levelAbility to solve problems involving residents, personnel, emergency situations, etc.Willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds requiredScope + CompensationFull-time position with additional hours as required and regular schedule (Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm) to be consistent with established hours of operation. $17 - $19 an hourCompensation commensurate with level of experience and job requirements Paid sick, personal, and vacation time as outlined in the Employee HandbookA portion of the single health insurance premium paid towards employee health insuranceAdditional benefits offered to full-time employees of the United Group as outlined in the Benefits Enrollment GuideReasonable business expenses to be paid/reimbursed within the scope of performing routine necessary business.To ApplyCover Letter + Resume Please include your compensation requirementsFor more information on our Company, please visit: or connect with us on LinkedIn.United Group is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
