Apply now!Job SummaryThe Sr. Human Resources Specialist for Employee Relations and Title IX is one of the Institute's resources for managing employee relations and Title IX cases. The Sr. HR Specialist manages a full spectrum of performance management, employment misconduct, employee grievance and Title IX cases. In managing such cases, the Sr. HR Specialist conducts investigations in accordance with Institute policies and relevant state and federal regulations. The Sr. Human Resources Specialist tracks and manages case data, interprets data, and prepares and presents information for leadership review and/or decision-making.The Sr. HR Specialist for ER and Title IX reports to the Director of Employee Relations, and Professional and Organizational Development.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree and three (3) years of experience in handling employee relations activities, which includes: managing employment misconduct, performance and Title IX cases end-to-end, affirmative action programs, human resources administration, student judicial affairs, employee or labor relations' programs, etc.Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.Preferred QualificationsRelevant Certifications, such as Title IX Training Certification, Labor/Employment Law Certification, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP and/or JD. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities--- Demonstrated experience investigating complex employee relations, student judicial, discrimination, discriminatory harassment, and sexual misconduct and/or retaliation issues.--- Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to interpret federal and state harassment and non-discrimination laws and regulations, including Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, etc., and other applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.--- Knowledge of legal issues in higher education and experience in a university setting would be preferred.--- Strong presentation and facilitation skills with emphasis on education and training.--- Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.--- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.--- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives--- Ability to work independently or as part of a team--- Ability to work in fast paced, rapidly changing environment.--- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners--- Ability to work with sensitive information in a high volume, fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesShiftBusiness Hours: Monday - FridayTravel Local travel between campus locations only Application instructionsFollow the on-screen prompts to create an application.
