Job Description PERMANENT – Internal Medicine Nocturnist Rome, New York Start Date: ASAP Hospitalist | Nights | 7 On / 7 Off 365 Healthcare is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join a growing Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist in Rome, New York. This permanent opportunity offers a predictable 7-on / 7-off night schedule, a manageable inpatient census, and strong subspecialty and intensivist support within a community-based hospital setting. Practice Details Hospital-based inpatient medicine Night shift coverage only (Nocturnist role) Patient census averages 5–10 patients per night Admissions from the Emergency Department and direct admits Open ICU with 24/7 intensivist consultant support Strong collaboration with nursing, specialists, case management, and ancillary teams EMR: Paragon Community-centered hospital environment Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care during night coverage Perform admissions, histories, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments Manage acute medical conditions for hospitalized patients Coordinate care with consultants and interdisciplinary teams Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation Participate in structured handoffs to ensure continuity of care Assist with discharge planning and transitions of care Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and departmental meetings Support learners or APPs as applicable Practice evidence-based medicine with strong communication and professionalism Qualifications Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (within 1 year) Active New York medical license (or willingness to obtain) DEA certification Clean malpractice and license history At least 1 year of hospitalist or nocturnist experience preferred New graduates accepted Visa sponsorship not available Compensation & Benefits Guaranteed base salary: $325,000 annually Starting bonus: $15,000 Productivity and quality bonuses Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage Generous PTO and 5 CME days with annual CME allowance 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Short- and long-term disability insurance Life insurance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer Apply Today 365 Healthcare – Physician Recruitment Division admin@365-healthcare.com 515-020-77939 www.365-healthcare.com
