Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Potsdam, NY Employer: HPA Healthcare Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Position Overview One of our Partners in New York, is seeking a Board-Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist to provide 24-hour first-call OB/GYN coverage at a community acute care hospital in Potsdam, New York. The physician will manage labor and delivery coverage, OB triage, inpatient gynecologic care, and perform obstetric and gynecologic procedures as required. This assignment offers block scheduling opportunities , a collaborative OB team, and emergency privileges available for qualified providers . The role provides full-scope OB/GYN coverage including deliveries, C-sections, and gynecologic surgical procedures. 24-Hour Call Pay: $4,800 per shift Pay Ranking: Top 20% nationally for rural OB/GYN locum call assignments (2026 market data) Estimated Contract Earnings (8 Weeks): ~$268,800 depending on coverage Assignment Highlights 24-hour first-call OB/GYN coverage Emergency privileges available Block scheduling opportunities Epic EMR Established OB support team Anesthesiologist available on call at all times Top 20% provider pay nationally (2026 market benchmark) Joint Commission–certified staffing support through HPA Healthcare Prepaid travel and lodging provided Malpractice insurance coverage included Job Responsibilities Provide labor and delivery coverage Manage OB triage and inpatient obstetric patients Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections Provide gynecologic surgical care as needed Manage postpartum patient care Perform operative vaginal deliveries and gynecologic procedures Document patient encounters in Epic EMR Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesia, and hospital teams Skills & Experience Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology Minimum 2 years of recent OB/GYN experience Experience performing full-scope OB/GYN procedures Experience managing labor and delivery independently Epic EMR experience required Active New York Medical License required
