Job Description Nursing Home Medical Director opening in Albany, NY (Permanent)This is a permanent position.Opportunity Details:Full-time Medical Director/Physician role caring for residents in nonprofit skilled nursing homesLead and provide care across 7 skilled nursing facilities in the Capital RegionSettings include long-term care, subacute rehab, and memory care (two sites follow the Green House model)Work within a collaborative medical team of physicians and nurse practitionersOn-site specialists available: Podiatry, Psychiatry, Psychology, and OptometryPartnership with Albany College of Pharmacy, including a Geriatric Pharmacotherapy ServiceSupported by experienced leadership in nursing, medical, quality, and residential servicesTeaching opportunities with Albany Medical College’s Geriatric Fellowship ProgramRequirements:Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineGeriatric Medicine or Hospice & Palliative Care certification preferred (not required)Certified Medical Director (CMD) credential preferred (not required)Passion for eldercare and working in a collaborative, mission-driven environmentCompensation/Benefits:Base salary: $250,000 – $280,000Relocation allowance availableHealth, vision, and dental insurancePaid malpractice insurance with tail coverageCME allowance with dedicated time offPaid time off403(b) retirement savings program with employer matchPSLF eligible (nonprofit employer)Location:Albany, NY and the surrounding Capital Region offer a mix of suburban and urban livingAccess to the Adirondacks, Hudson Valley, Berkshires, and Saratoga Springs for recreation and cultureWithin 3 hours of New York City, Boston, and Montreal
