Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse III
to join our Neuro-Progressive Care Unit. This role offers an
opportunity to work within an innovative healthcare system that

on medical education, research, and compassionate patient care. The
ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to
patients with severe neurological conditions in a dynamic and
challenging environment, contributing to both clinical practice and
educational advancements. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care
plans for patients in the neuro-progressive care unit. Monitor
patient conditions continuously and respond to changes in status
swiftly. Collaborate with cross-functional medical teams to
optimize patient recovery and outcomes. Educate patients and
families on treatment plans and health management at home.
Participate in research activities aimed at advancing
neuro-progressive care techniques and outcomes. Mentor and train
junior nursing staff and nursing students. Proficient in neurologic
assessments and patient care planning. Strong organizational and
communication skills. Ability to work effectively in high-stress
environments. Knowledge of current health and safety guidelines.
Expertise in using medical software and patient management systems.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance
401k Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
Certification in Neurology or as a Progressive Care Certified Nurse
(PCCN) preferred. CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
certifications.
