Job Description Job Description Ultrasound Technologist – Registered (Contract) Location: Long Island City, NY 11102 Job Type: Contract Duration: 9 Weeks Pay Rate: $48–$55 per hour Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800–$2,062.50 Schedule 8 hours per day 5 days per week 40 hours per week Equipment GE E9 Ultrasound System Breast Imaging & Routine Diagnostic Ultrasound Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join a diagnostic imaging team in Long Island City, NY. This contract role is ideal for technologists early in their careers who are committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations in accordance with departmental protocols Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and assist radiologists as needed Operate, adjust, clean, and perform minor troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment Ensure patient and staff safety by following electrical, equipment, and infection-control guidelines Capture, label, and transfer ultrasound images to PACS and physician workstations Maintain ultrasound rooms, equipment, and adequate supply levels Assist with exam scheduling, answering phones, and coordinating patient transport when required Support onboarding and mentoring of new ultrasound staff Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and facility standards Perform additional duties as assigned QualificationsRequired ARDMS certification (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – RDMS) BLS certification Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology OR High School Diploma/GED with completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program 0–2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist Proficiency with PACS systems and diagnostic ultrasound equipment Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Preferred Experience with GE E9 ultrasound systems Breast imaging and routine diagnostic ultrasound experience For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
