Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Schedule: Full-Time;
Sunday-Thursday; 2pm-10pm Primary Purpose: Candidates will provide
stabilization and rehabilitation substance abuse nursing services
to men in a residential setting in accordance with OASAS and Agency
rules and regulations. Candidate must be willing to train in the
continuum of substance abuse treatment services. Responsibilities :
Participates in screening of clients, gathering of necessary
admission information/data, and observation of physical, mental,
and emotional status of admitted clients. Assesses for medical
supervised withdrawal and stabilization services that are
appropriate for men who are intoxicated by alcohol and/or
substances, who are experiencing, or who are expected to experience
withdrawal symptom that require medical oversight. Ensures
confidentiality and safety/security of clients and the facility.
Logs and verbally receives/delivers accurate information at change
of shifts. Knowledge of symptoms, treatment alternatives, and drug
properties and interactions of patients who are intoxicated or
under the influence of illegal substances. Observe that all
medications are properly taken by client and provide sufficient
documentation in MAR. License Requirements : Candidate must have
NYS LPN license, and valid Driver's License. Must be CPR and First
Aid certified. Experience Requirements: Candidate must have a
minimum of 2 years' experience.
