Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel ER RN Details: - RTO: not more than 4 dates are acceptable. No holiday RTO is accepted. - 12H Nights- 7p-7:30a with 30-minute unpaid break - Every other weekend required - No call. No block/self-scheduling. - Will float to ED Observation Unit. Drips; Infusions; Phlebotomy; Starting IVs; EKGs; Transports; med admin. - Nurse: Patient ratio - 1:5 - Patient Population: All - 70 bed unit. Qualifications: - NYS license. - 1 year of experience in specialty is required. - 2 years’ experience in specialty preferred. - BLS, ACLS and PALS (AHA or Am. Red Cross) required - Prefer TNCC, ENPC and CPI - Prior travel experience preferred, but not required. Description: - The state-of-the-art Neil and Jane Golub Center for Emergency A4 Care at Ellis Hospital provides an array of services, including, but not limited to, the evaluation and stabilization of illness and trauma, and the diagnosis and treatment of patients with urgent and chronic medical, surgical, dental, and emotional needs. - Specialty and tertiary services include - cardiac, vascular and thoracic medicine, hematology and toxicology, neurology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, orthopedic medicine, ophthalmology, gynecology, pediatrics and psychiatric crisis intervention. - A dedicated mental health crisis stabilization unit, located within the ED, provides care for those patients seeking help for mental health issues. - The unit is staffed with registered nurses, mental health technicians, psychiatric crisis workers, psychiatrists and security officers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to care for our mental health patients in crisis.
