Albany Medical Center seeks a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. As an integral part of our system, which includes a top-tier hospital and an acclaimed medical college, the RN will engage in both direct patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration. Focused on delivering exceptional care and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment, our RNs play a critical role in supporting our mission of advancing medical education, research, and providing high-quality patient services. Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Maintain accurate patient records and document patient care services. Administer medications, monitor patient recovery and progress, and educate patients and their families on disease prevention and health maintenance. Participate in the development and evaluation of nursing practices provided in the clinical setting and the implementation of new innovations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Conduct research under the guidance provided at our medical college, contributing to our commitment to biomedical research. Strong clinical skills in a healthcare setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using medical software and patient management systems Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Empathetic and compassionate approach towards patient care Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
