This opportunity begins on Jan 1, 2026, and features 12-hour ER shifts with both day (7am–7pm) and night (7pm–7am) coverage. The assignment requires current NY licensure, active DEA, and advanced certifications. Job Details Location: New York Start Date: Jan 1, 2026 LOA: 120 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Schedule: 12-hour shifts; 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am Responsibilities and Duties Provide emergency medical care in a high-acuity ER setting Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and emergent conditions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to deliver efficient patient care Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records Perform procedures within the scope of emergency medicine as credentialed Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols Additional Information Active NY state license, DEA, and board certification required Must have completed an EM, FM, or IM residency Required certifications: ACLS, PALS (AHA), ATLS Must provide supporting documentation including CME and case logs from the past 2 years Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification preferred for NPs Ongoing need with potential for assignment extension Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
