We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment with our client in New York. This opportunity begins Jan 1, 2026, and features 12-hour shifts with day and night options. The position involves providing care in the emergency department alongside a collaborative team. Job Details Location: New York Start Date: Jan 1, 2026 LOA: 120 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive patient care in the emergency department Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and urgent medical conditions Order and interpret diagnostic tests Perform procedures within the scope of emergency care Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, and nursing staff Document patient encounters and care provided Maintain compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards Additional Information Active New York state license, DEA registration, and board certification required Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP or ENP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) needed Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required Candidates must have completed an EM, FM, or IM residency Additional documentation requirements apply, including CME logs, case logs, and infection control certification Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
