Travel RN MS Step-Down (Nights) Location: Rome, NY Unit: Medical-Surgical Step-Down Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM 7:00 AM Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Travel / Contract Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric RN Ratio: 6:1 Position Overview NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Step-Down Registered Nurse for an immediate night shift assignment. This role is ideal for an RN with strong telemetry and step-down experience who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment. Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric step-down patients Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Maintain accurate documentation using facility EMR systems Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols Requirements Active RN license (state license details provided upon submission) 1 2 years of recent Step-Down and/or Telemetry experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required Experience with Paragon EMR and Pyxis preferred Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Why NurseAmerica?
