Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Albany, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,357 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Critical Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Epic experience required Navy blue scrubs required Description: The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region. Respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications include some of our top diagnosis-related groups (DRGs). Candidates must be competent in the care of medical and surgical populations. Advanced knowledge of hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols is required. Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, a line, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, and infection prevention protocols is essential. Familiarity with HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and oxypendent is expected. Nurses with large scale adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience tend to perform well in this environment.
