Job Description Schenectady Center is hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) in Schenectady, NY. /n /n DUTIES: /n /n - Supervises all nursing staff in the facility /n - Development and implementation of nursing policy and procedure /n - Overseeing the hiring and continued employment of nursing staff /n - Ensuring there is adequate nursing staff, and that the staff's skills remain current /n - Overseeing nursing employee conduct /n - Being knowledgeable of incidents at the facility /n - Assessing the health needs of each resident /n /n REQUIREMENTS: /n /n - Current State RN license required /n - Minimum 5 years of experience in long term care /n - Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience /n - Evidence of strong supervision & leadership skills /n /n /n About us: Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a 240-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located near the lively, reinvigorated downtown.
