Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing policies and procedures. -: What We Offer As an affiliate of National Health Care, our Glens Falls team enjoys: - WE DON'T MANDATE OUR NURSING STAFF - Competitive compensation - Shift/weekend differentials where applicable - Medical, dental and vision coverage options - Weekly Pay - Paid time off - Opportunities for professional growth and development - Supportive and collaborative work environment - The chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents Rate of Pay: USD $45.75 - USD $45.75 /Hr. -: Qualifications of a Nursing Supervisor include: - Valid NY state nursing license - Advanced degree or certification preferred - Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred - Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care - Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both - Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Physical Requirements: - Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required—bending, stooping, turning, stretching, reaching above the shoulders and occasional lifting are involved - Must be able to cope with the mental, emotional and physical stress of the position - Must be able to observe, listen and communicate effectively - Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies - Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility - Must be able to transfer and pivot residents. -: We Hire for Heart!
