for a local contract nursing job in Bennington, Vermont. Job

Minimum guarantee: 00 Location: Bennington, VT Qualification: Must
possess a high school degree, or its equivalent, and maintain
current/active State of Vermont LNA certification. It is the
responsibility of the LNA to maintain a current certification and
provide a current copy to the Facility. Must maintain current
applicable education hours to maintain certification. Prefer
working knowledge (experience preferred) with various software
programs such as WORD, EXCEL, as well as electronic medical records
(EMR) systems. Must be able to speak, read, and write the English
language clearly and understandably. Must be able to follow written
and oral instructions. Must attend in-service training and
competency skills testing as assigned. Physical & Sensory
Requirements: Must be able to regularly walk throughout the
facility and/or Unit at least 90% of the working day and to assist
with emergencies as needed. Requires prolonged sitting, standing
and walking. Must be able to climb stairs regularly, as well as
lift or carry at least 50 lbs. Must possess visual acuity near/far
correctable, must possess aural acuity normal range of sound – aid
permitted. Required to push residents in wheelchairs, med carts,
gerichairs, assist with the transfer of residents, and perform
direct patient care when necessary, including feeding and assisting
in ambulation. These duties require the ability to stoop, reach,
carry, manipulate, push, and pull of resident's weight, standing,
and pivoting sufficiently to balance a resident in a transfer
situation. Exposure Risks: Tasks assigned to this position may
involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids,
infectious diseases, air contaminants and hazardous chemicals.
Evaluation: An annual written review of the Licensed Nursing
Assistant(LNA) will be completed at least annually. The opportunity
for the employee to respond will be provided. Overview: Works under
the direction of the Unit Charge Nurse who coordinates the LNA
assignments to administer care to residents In accordance with
nursing standards for care administered by LNAs, Facility policies
and procedures, Resident Rights, and Corporate Compliance Major
Responsibilities: Weight 1. Job Knowledge: 52% a. Care and
Clinical: i. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to
provide care appropriateto the age and medically-related needs of
the residents served; satisfactorily completes on-going competency
requirements as required ii. Must perform all assigned tasks in
accordance with the Facility's established policies and procedures
and as instructed by the Charge Nurse or directed by supervisory
staff. iii. Complies with local, state and federal regulations
relating to LNA responsibilities, including the Code of Conduct,
Resident Rights and Corporate Compliance; serves as a mandatory
reporter of all resident related incidents iv. Must follow work
assignments and/or work schedules in completing and performing
assigned tasks v. Maintains a satisfactory attendance and work
performance record; must punctually arrive to work as assigned vi.
Must check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal
care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes; reports
clinical observations and changes to the Charge Nurse and documents
as instructed. vii. Must read and respond to written instructions
to ensure the safety and care of residents viii.Must comply with
the Resident Smoking Policy in assisting/monitoring residents ix.
Must change duties as assigned by management in order to meet the
needs of a 24 hours nursing facility x. Must execute all
responsibilities in a safe, careful manner to ensure the safety and
health of the residents, the employee and other employees. xi. Must
report to work, if called back to work, during emergency conditions
(e.g., severeWeather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.); may be
required to remain at work during such emergency conditions xii.

programs, scheduled training and educational classes to maintain
current certification as a LNA ii. Must attend and participate in

to patient care documentation and training within the scope of the
