Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Peds Adult Job Details: • Night shift position primarily caring for adult patients with occasional pediatric patients • Work in a dynamic general Med/Surg unit providing comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care • Coordinate exceptional patient care for adult and pediatric patients using the innovative Nursing Process • Provide holistic care addressing patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs • Work under the accountability of the Unit Director and collaborate with Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor • Minimum three years of acute care experience required • Preference given to candidates familiar with Meditech • Current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure required • Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS • Flu shot required with no exceptions • Travelers start on Wednesdays • During orientation week, travelers on 48-hour contracts guaranteed 36 hours due to midweek start • All required credentials must be uploaded five business days before start date • This is NOT a pediatric floor - do not submit pediatric-only RNs Facility: This is a cherished 25-bed independent and nonprofit critical access hospital located in Vermont's historic Northeast Kingdom.
