Job Description:
Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking full-time general
Endocrinologists at its practices in Long Island. The facilities in
Manhasset and Wantagh are state-of-the-art centers. Bringing
together skilled physicians and the expertise of one of the world’s
leading academic medical centers, this large multi-specialty
practice combines high level training and advanced resources with a
personalized range of care under one roof, from primary care and
women’s health services (OB/GYN) to cardiology, endocrinology and
more. Mount Sinai South Nassau is an award-winning, acute care,
not-for-profit teaching hospital located in Oceanside, New York.
Our dedicated staff serves the entire South Shore, from the
Rockaways in Queens to the Massapequas and beyond. And we offer
quality, compassionate care on our main campus in Oceanside, plus
nine other satellite facilities in the region. Mount Sinai South
Nassau, formerly known as South Nassau Communities Hospital before
becoming part of the Mount Sinai Health Network, is one of the
region’s largest hospitals, with 455 beds, more than 900 physicians
and 3,500 employees. The Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai
South Nassau, under the Chairman of the Department, Aaron E. Glatt,
MD, MACP, FIDSA, FSHEA is comprised of 400 voluntary and full time
Internists and sub-specialists and has an ACGME 30 resident
Internal Medicine Residency Program which started July 2019. Mount
Sinai South Nassau also operates Long Island’s only free-standing,
9-1-1 receiving Emergency Department, located in Long Beach. In
addition to its extensive outpatient specialty centers, Mount Sinai
South Nassau provides emergency and elective angioplasty, as well
as being a designated Stroke Center by the New York State
Department of Health and Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by
the American College of Surgeons and an accredited center of the
Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Association and Quality Improvement
Program. The hospital has been awarded the Joint Commission’s gold
seal of approval for disease-specific care for heart failure,
primary stroke, hip replacement, knee replacement, wound care,
bariatric surgery, and end-stage renal disease, and recently was
re-accredited as one of first programs in the US by the Infectious
Diseases Society of America as a Center of Excellence for
Antimicrobial Stewardship. The chosen candidate will become part of
a full-time faculty in-patient and out-patient general
Endocrinology practice with opportunities to sub-specialize in
specific endocrine illnesses, and be part of a multi-specialty team
in a hospital setting located in Nassau County on Long Island. The
candidate must have an interest in providing office-based and
in-patient consultations on the Eendocrinology service, and to
participate in teaching in the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
He or she will work closely with a variety of specialists in
Medicine and other Departments, and with our excellent Diabetes
Education Center, allowing patients to address many of their
healthcare needs in one location. The selected candidate will also
be a part of the Thyroid / Parathyroid Center working closely with
senior Head/Neck Surgeons. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

glucose monitoring systems and insulin delivery devices such as:
continuous glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy, and insulin
pens Compensation range from 220K to 350K (not including bonuses /
