Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Berlin, Vermont. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/08/2025 - Duration: 16 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift assignment requiring significant recent experience and EPIC proficiency. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit providing acute care - Night shifts are required with a 12-hour schedule - Assignment length is 16 weeks - Care responsibilities include NG tube insertion, peripheral IV insertion, and bedside telemetry strip interpretation - Patients are med/surg level with telemetry monitoring - Travelers are required to work at least every other weekend and provide coverage for 2 out of 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day - Use EPIC EMR system - Must provide direct Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care, including specialized bedside procedures - No block scheduling is permitted - Bi-weekly orientations are available on Mondays - All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained - Complete work history, including bed count, EMR, and facility type, is required for consideration - Reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly recommended due to lack of public transit access - Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April - Travelers must be willing to schedule flexibly to meet patient care needs /n /n Requirements/n - Active VT or Compact RN license is required (application for licensure must be completed within 24 hours of commitment if not already held) - AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required, with NIHSS needed prior to starting - Telemetry certification is preferred - Minimum of 5 years Med/Surg Tele or 3 years Tele experience required - Prior travel experience is required - Must have completed two travel assignments in facilities with 300 beds or have previous experience at any UVMHN acute care facility - EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-639294.
