Job Description:

The position seeks a licensed and board-certified Physiatrist in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability process.

The role involves reviewing medical records via a secure Web Portal and conducting comprehensive evaluations on veterans, focusing solely on assessments, not treatment or disability determinations.

Providers will complete condition-specific Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) to document exam findings for the VA.

Expected to assess approximately four veterans daily, with a hybrid schedule of telehealth and in-person work, five days a week.

Key skills include record review, data extraction, analysis, accurate documentation, time management, and typing proficiency. All DBQs must be submitted within 24 hours.

This role offers an opportunity to serve veterans, focusing on medical fact-finding and assessments rather than ongoing patient care.
