Department/Unit:Emergency DepartmentWork Shift:Day (United States of America)The ED Quality/Variance Nurse will work in collaboration and under the direction of the licensed Advance Practice Provider (PA/NP) or Attending Physicians to facilitate the process for variance reporting and communication.Job DescriptionEducation and ExperienceNYS Licensed Registered Nurse requiredAssociate Degree in NursingBSN preferredMinimum of 3-5 years experience in the Emergency Department settingPerforms the duties of a variance nurse, reviewing medical records for radiology and lab discrepanciesReviews daily the AMC patient access phone line for telephone requests from outside pharmacies, facilities, and patientsReviews Left Without being seen records to facilitate the accurate documentation of LWBS versus Left Without Treatment (LWOT)Other quality audits as requiredThank you for your interest in Albany Medical Center!
