RN IV Therapy Specialist (Home Care) - Eddy Visiting Nurses and Rehab Association

What you will do:

* Coordinate an interdisciplinary plan of care with physical/occupational/speech therapists, medical social workers, aides and dieticians. Training provided in delivering IV Therapy at Home by INS Certified RN Supervisor and preceptor!

Responsibilities:

* Manage high risk patients diagnosed with heart failure/COPD requiring implementation of rescue orders to reduce avoidable ED visits and readmissions, improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
* Work as part of our in-home IV Therapy team caring for patients completing their course of IV therapy at home
* Evaluate patient appropriateness for in-home health care services, complete initial comprehensive assessment, develop and implement the plan of care

What you will need:

Required:

* A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New York
* 2 years or more of recent experience as a RN
* Bachelor's degree in nursing or additional direct experience in specialized field
* Must complete internal IV Therapy course and successful demonstration of skills by line and therapy
* Valid driver license and reliable vehicle

Preferred:

* 2 years or more of IV experience
* Registered Nurses at Eddy VNRA must possess a passion for caring for seniors and demonstrate a respectful, caring, professional demeanor
* The RN IV Specialist must have excellent time management and organizational skills
* The RN IV Specialist must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written and possess strong critical thinking skills to problem solve
