Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in appropriate filed. Doctorate Preferred.

Employment Experience Preferred: Four years' administrative experience that demonstrates ability to perform job functions. Supervisory experience.

  Duties and Responsibilities: The Associate Director reports to the Vice President/Executive Director (VP/ED) of the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (EOC, the Center) and performs the following duties:
  
  • 
    
  • Responsibility for all aspects and functions of the EOC in the absence of the VP/ED;
    
  • Assists the VP/ED with the day-to-day administration of the Center;
    
  • Works with confidential personnel, legal, fiscal, and collective bargaining matters;
    
  • Assists in policy formulation and implementations;
    
  • Works with matters pertaining to institutional planning allocation, coordination, implementation, and evaluation;
    
  • Works to ensure Center quality, effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement;
    
  • Recommends methods and procedures for increasing the effectiveness of the EOC;
    
  • Works with other EOC administrative staff on matters related to Center programs and services;
    
  • Establishes, utilizes, and maintains relationships and ties with organizations, entitles, and stakeholders to support Center functioning, effectiveness and engagement;
    
  • Researches, develops, and writes reports and documents;
    
  • Promotes the cardinal objectives of the Center;
    
  • Supervises and evaluates staff as directed;
    
  • Reports regularly to the VP/ED on work performed;
    
  • Represents the VP/ED and the EOC as directed;
    
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
    
    Salary is $65,000-$75,000.00
