Description:Active Solar Development (ASD) is an experienced and
rapidly growing Community Solar Development and Engineering,
Procurement and Construction company based out of Malta, NY. We
work throughout NYS, NJ, MD, DE and PA. The Active Solar
Development team is a dedicated, kind and talented group with

creator and team-builder. About the Role:The Director of
Construction, Ground Support Group (an Active Solar Development
Company), will oversee construction of the Ground Support Team
scope of work, primarily Solar Racking, but also inclusive of some
civil and electrical scopes. This position will oversee the
planning, coordination, and execution of all construction
activities related to solar racking systems and ancillary scopes
accepted by the Ground Support Team. This position is responsible
for Ground Support Group contracts, staffing, scheduling,
regulatory compliance, project and financial performance. This role
requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in solar racking
technologies, construction management, and large-scale project
execution. The Director will ensure projects are completed on time,
within budget, and to the highest quality standards while
maintaining a focus on safety and compliance with industry
regulations.Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the construction of solar racking systems, civil site
development and electrical scopes (where applicable) from inception
to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and
timelines.
- Develop and implement construction strategies, plans, and
schedules that optimize resource allocation and minimize
risks.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry
standards, including OSHA compliance and relevant construction
codes.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project
management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, budget adherence, and resource
utilization, adjusting as necessary to achieve project
objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams,
ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including
clients, local authorities, and internal teams.
- Report on project performance, providing regular updates to
senior management and identifying opportunities for
improvement.
- Drive innovation in solar racking, civil site development and
electrical construction methods and materials, staying ahead of
industry trends.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Construction
Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree
preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction
management, with at least 5 years in the solar industry focusing on
racking systems. Proven track record of successfully managing
large-scale solar construction projects. In-depth knowledge of
solar racking technologies, installation methods, and best
practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and
motivate large teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients,
subcontractors, and internal teams. Proficient in construction
management software and tools. Technologically savvy. Commitment to
safety, quality, and environmental stewardship. Experience with
utility-scale or community solar projects. Familiarity with the
latest advancements in solar racking technology and materials.
Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations, including the
Inflation Reduction Act and local building codes. PMP or similar
project management certification very helpful. This position is
onsite in Ballston Spa, NY and is expected to travel to project
locations throughout NY, NJ, MD, PA and DE (and other States as
business requires). This position will have a high degree of onsite
presence and will travel 30-50% of the week. This is not a remote
work opportunity.Compensation:The likely compensation range for
this position is $110,000-$160,000. Your actual salary may be
above, in, or below this range, depending on your experience.
Relocation support is available and will be discussed with
