Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract
position offers the opportunity to provide specialized
speech-language pathology services at a dedicated private school
serving students with significant needs. The school supports
students ages 5 through 21 with Level 3 autism, severe cognitive
disabilities, and challenging behaviors, many of whom use
alternative communication methods and are non-verbal. The setting
includes 10 self-contained classrooms with an 8:1:3
staff-to-student ratio, totaling 78 students. Location: Queensbury,
NY Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM Contract
Dates: ASAP through end of school year School type: Year-round
special education private school Key Responsibilities: - Deliver
speech-language pathology evaluations and therapy tailored to
students with severe disabilities and communication challenges -
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized
treatment plans and track student progress - Use augmentative and
alternative communication methods effectively to support non-verbal
students - Provide therapy in a dedicated space designed for
speech-language services - Support classroom staff and families in
understanding and implementing communication strategies
Qualifications: - Valid SLP certification and licensure applicable
to the state - Experience working with students who have Level 3
autism and severe cognitive disabilities preferred - Competence
with alternative communication systems and strategies for
non-verbal individuals - Ability to manage a caseload within a
self-contained classroom environment (grades K-12, ages 5-21) -
Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators and

Compensation for this position ranges from $41.72 to $61.72.
